This online course provides an overview of sanitary drainage systems in the 2018 UPC Chapter 7. You will be guided through how to size a drainage system for a basic home, while gaining the knowledge of the importance the design, materials, and code provisions for drainage systems. This audio-based course reads highlighted code sections with audio commentary directly from the UPC Illustrated Training Manual providing an in-depth understanding of drainage systems.

Upon completion of this you will be able to:

1.      Calculate the distance from the water meter to the furthest remote outlet in the system.
2.      Calculate the total demand fixture units in a building.
3.      Factor in the elevation (head loss) of the highest cold water outlet.
4.      Use the available water meter pressure to determine the correct water pipe size for a given diagram.
